Silers Old Time BBQ , Jacks Creek, on Hwy 100, 8 miles east of Henderson. Hands down the best pulled pork, smoked out back in pit with hickory charcoal that they make on site.

Thanks Chris Chamberlain and the Nashville Scene for spreading the word. PaBrewcah was a successful first attempt and I hope it will become an annual event.

I'd love a place with a cozy atmosphere that feels like it's been around for 40+ years. Assuming the food is good, I'd love to see a place with carpet and booths that allows for a nice moderate volume level of conversation.

re: Persian -- Shish Kabob (4651 Nolensville Pike) might be what you're looking for, I believe it is both Persian/Iranian and has a lunch buffet. Or maybe the Grassmere Grill & Kabob (3802 Nolensville Pike), they have a buffet, but I'm not sure which precise regional cuisine.

Polish/Russian/Ukrainian. I'm from Chicago and I love that I can get supplies from Aleksey's but a full Eastern European restaurant would be fabulous.

The sushi here and japanese food in general is pathetic outside of Sonobana. Only in Nashville does a restaurant get away with mediocre burgers or some gimmick involving pork belly.

Yes, the smell of this plant is very strong. In manipur we used it like coriander in some of the dishes and singju a manipur salad.

Thanks for the advice on kabob/Persian, Auntie W. I went to the Persian place owned by Mo. The fact it didn't make it didn't have anything to do with how good the food was, because it was amazing. What I have in mind is a place like Persepolis in Atlanta, which is my favorite.
