I like going onto Yelp not for the reviews but for the pictures of the food.

TemplarVivet needs to work out his issues before he spews anymore hate over the rest of us.

I will bet dinner at Kayne Prime, that Vivet is not Vivek. That's a pretty ridiculous assumption.

Robilio's BBQ Drive In on Summer Avenue was an extremely popular teen hangout in the 60's, second only to Monte's Drive In further west on Summer. Most folks wouldn't recall, but the Beatles stopped at Monte's on their 1966 tour through Memphis.

Raging against social media makes me yawn. Just don't involve yourself.

There's a La Michoacana sign up outside the old Hickory Hollow Mall, but I haven't gone in to investigate. Anyone know if these are the same folks?

i had the porchetta sandwich at Mangia.

It was interesting but over all I thought it was salty.

I don't think that is a Publix going in across the street.

It looks like condos.

Maybe the Publix will be across eighth, there's a big construction sight there.

If you take pictures of your food you're a fucking idiot. If you take pictures of your food and upload them to so-called "social media" sites you're a fucking idiot and a complete douchebag.

La Michoacana Golden is my go-to paletas stop. If my freezer was large enough, I'd empty their freezers and stuff mine with rows and rows of their paletas.

Throw back Monday Classic:

"Sylvan Park residents have shown themselves to be quite a bunch of sycophant strivers with this issue. They speak of the "Deb" and "Deb's restaurant" as if they are all long-time friends who would head to her home once a week for supper.

My family is from Elkin -- I can tell you everything you need to know about how a sonker is different from a cobbler. The main one is that the batter is poured into the dish and then the prepared fruit (peaches, blackberries, etc. ...but sweet potatoes are actually quite common too) is piled on top of the batter.
