all politics aside, i thought the meals i've had at Pollo Tropical were VERY good- much better for the price than something you can get at Taco Bell, and i LIKE Taco Bell- there is no place else i know of other than a fancy restaurant where you can get awesome sweet and delicious plantains like they serve there- as good as the ones i've had in Costa Rica! definitely worth a try and a refreshing change from all the other usual stops along fast food row.

I agree on the cans issue too! I like my beer to go home in a 5.2 gallon can.

Clawson's is one of the best sandwich spots in Nashville--period. I've enjoyed the #14 make-your-own-sandwich option many days for lunch.

The sandwiches at Duke's are very good. A nice addition to the neighborhood.

DPR is so right about the elusive vibe thing at Duke's. It's just cool - hip but not tragically hipster.

I'll say this for Clawson's, it's the first place I ever had a Spindrift ginger beer - the best beverage ever invented. I wasn't knocked out with their pastrami.

If you are a fan of pickled eggs, Clawsons can't be beat. The pickled cucumbers and onions are a really nice side.

Start working at home with Google! It’s by-far the best job I’ve had.

They'd already done a lot in the back, but now the front room buildup is on! Lots of wiring in the walls, big truck delivering huge hanks of drywall with a crane.

Everyone who lives in the Gulch should be required to donate to Make a Wish seeing as how the individuals who participate in that program have likely seen improvements to the parts of town in which they live delayed or completely scrapped so the yuppies living in the Gulch can have their fancy new pedestrian bridges and what not.
