I was so excited to hear that Zesty Lemon Snap won because it was hands down my top pick. In fact, in all of my years attending and/or judging Crankin', it may be the best I've ever had!

Seems like Nashville is the only city around that does not have smaller events going on a few days before and also during like some of the other festivals. It's an all day commitment or nothing.

Yeah, I don't think I'm the target market for either of these festivals.

Beef pho, all the raw jalapenos added to the bowl, and a vietnamese iced coffee. Back in business in no time.

Deviled Eggs - base is MW or mayo
Potato salad - same way but I like hot dog relish in that too
And. My bride has been making salmon patties with Durkee's as part of the recipe she found on the web.

That's really interesting about the greenbrier; I didn't even know what the name of it was. I'll round up some next spring!

That sounded quite interesting, you have to let us know these things in advance! My own yard has enough broadleaf, narrowleaf plaintain, dandylions, and Queen Anne's Lace to feed an army, and yet you couldn't kill it with a blowtorch, it recovers completely from a tight lawnmow within a week, and it will grow thick on ground that grass won't touch.

Her topic this Wednesday is her visit to the Sand Hills Institute, which should be really interesting--it's on a massive aquifer and barely dodged the Keystone Pipeline. Next week is the gut-biome-health connection.

I once found on a McDonald website someone asking "Is your fish fillet 100% vegetarian?" And I'm just like: no, it's a fish fillet.
